Service fees

You carry the platform fee, or your visitor does.

Some organizers would rather pass the fee on, others keep the price round. It is a choice per event, and either way your visitor sees exactly what they pay.

  • A choice per event
  • On its own line for the visitor
  • Free tickets never cost anything

How it works

Two choices, and no hidden third

The platform rate is €0.25 per paid ticket. The only question is whose pocket it comes from.

You carry the fee

The visitor pays exactly the price you set. The platform fee is settled against your revenue, and you see it per event in your reporting.

The visitor carries the fee

The service fee is added to the ticket price. The event page shows the price the visitor really pays, and the checkout lists the service fee on its own line.

No surprise in the last step

The fee is counted in from the first screen. Nobody reaches the checkout and finds an amount that was not there before.

VAT is already included

When you pass it on, the amount on screen includes VAT, so €0.25 plus 21% becomes €0.30 per paid ticket.

Free tickets fall outside it

A ticket at zero costs no platform fee and therefore carries no service fee. Guest lists stay free whichever choice you make.

Refunds correct along

If an order is refunded, the platform fee is corrected. You do not pay for a ticket you reversed.

  • Service fee (2 × €0.30)€0.60
  • Free guest list × 1€0.00

€0.25 plus 21% VAT. Free tickets carry no service fee.

Pass it on and the amount sits on its own line — not hidden inside the ticket price.

In practice

Making the choice and seeing what it does

01

Choose per event

In the event's settings you decide who carries the platform fee. Nothing changes for your other events.

02

Check the price

On your own event page you see what your audience will see: the ticket price, and the service fee beside it if you pass it on.

03

Sell

The checkout works out the amount and puts the service fee on its own line above the total.

04

Check your reporting

Per event you see the revenue and the platform fees, so the choice you made can be recalculated.

Example

400 tickets at €22.50, two choices

The same event, the same rate, a different amount on screen.

You carry: visitor pays€22.50
You carry: platform fee€100.00 out of your revenue
Visitor carries: visitor pays€22.80 (€22.50 + €0.30)
Visitor carries: platform fee€0.00 out of your revenue

Your payment provider's fee sits outside this: you settle that directly with your own provider.

Questions we get

Does my visitor see the service fee separately?
Yes. The event page shows the price they really pay, and the checkout lists the service fee on its own line above the total. Nothing is added in the last step.
Can I make a different choice per event?
Yes. The choice belongs to the event, not to your account. A free members' night and a sold-out show can be set differently.
What do I pay on a free ticket?
Nothing. Free tickets fall outside the platform rate, so there is no service fee line for your visitor either.
