Pricing and payments

What does TixBeam cost?

€0.25 per sold ticket. There is no subscription, setup fee or fixed-term contract. Your payment provider's transaction fees are separate.

Do free or refunded tickets incur a fee?

No. Tickets priced at €0 have no platform fee. Refunded tickets do not count as sold tickets.

Where does the ticket money go?

Straight into your own payment provider account. TixBeam never holds your ticket revenue, so your payouts follow your provider's schedule.

Do I need my own payment provider?

For online payments, you connect an account with a supported payment provider. Ticket revenue goes into your account there; TixBeam is not the seller of your tickets.

Can I pass the fee on to my buyers?

Yes. You can include it in the ticket price or show it separately as a service fee at checkout. Buyers see the total before placing an order.

Can visitors pay at a physical location?

Yes. Visitors can reserve online and pay at a location you set up. The reservation has a payment deadline; tickets and QR codes are issued only after payment has been confirmed.

Your shop and your brand

Can I use my own domain?

Yes. Every organization gets a TixBeam subdomain immediately, and you can connect your own domain such as tickets.yourdomain.com via a CNAME record.

Will my shop look like TixBeam?

No. Your ticket shop shows your organization's name, logo and branding, without a TixBeam logo at the top or bottom.

Can I sell tickets from my own website?

Yes. You can link to your ticket shop or add an embeddable ticket widget to your existing website.

Can I edit the text in my ticket shop?

Yes. You can customize several ticket-shop texts in Dutch and English, so visitors see information that fits your event and brand.

Orders and customer communication

Will visitors receive a reservation confirmation?

Yes. After a successful reservation, a confirmation is sent to the email address provided. For payment at a location, it includes payment information; tickets follow only after payment is confirmed.

Can I customize the emails visitors receive?

Yes. You can edit the subject and introduction of customer emails in Dutch and English and send a test email to your own account first. Essential order, payment and ticket details remain in the message automatically.

What information can I ask for at checkout?

First name, last name and email address are required. You can also add a phone number or your own questions and choose whether those fields are required or optional.

How do refunds work?

Refund online payments through your own payment provider. For payments made at a physical location, return the money yourself and then record the full refund on the order. TixBeam does not transfer the money on your behalf.

Tickets and the door

How do guests get their tickets?

After payment is confirmed, buyers receive their ticket and QR code by email. Free tickets do not require payment. A personal order link lets them view their order again.

What stops ticket fraud?

QR codes are cryptographically signed, so they cannot be invented. The first valid scan checks a guest in and every later scan of the same ticket is refused.

What do we need at the door?

A phone with a camera and a browser. The scanner runs as a mobile web app, so there is nothing to install on show night.

Can several people scan at once?

Yes. Give each door person a scanner account and they all validate against the same live attendance picture.

Can I limit my door team's access?

Yes. A scanner role lets staff check tickets without giving them access to revenue or management of all orders.

Getting started

How long does setup take?

You can start setting up your organization, ticket shop and event straight away. For online payments, your payment provider may need to review your account first; the provider determines how long this takes.

Can I move from another platform?

Yes. Tell us what you are running today and we will walk through what moving looks like for your next event rather than your whole back catalogue.

Do you offer support?

Yes, by email. Because we are still a small team, you get someone who knows the platform rather than a script.
