Terms of service

These terms describe what organizers can expect from TixBeam and what TixBeam expects in return. They are written to be read, not to be survived.

1. Who these terms apply to

These terms apply between TixBeam and the organization that uses TixBeam to sell tickets. The person who accepts them confirms that they may do so on behalf of that organization.

Ticket buyers do not enter into an agreement with TixBeam. Their purchase agreement is with the organizer whose shop they bought from.

These terms govern the business relationship with the organizer; the organizer makes its own sales terms and privacy information clearly available to buyers. Buyers' mandatory rights are not limited by these terms.

2. The service

TixBeam provides ticketing software: a branded ticket shop, event and inventory management, order administration, ticket issuing and access control at the door.

TixBeam is a software supplier. It is not the seller of your tickets, not the organizer of your event and not a party to your payment provider contract.

3. Accounts and organizations

  • You are responsible for who you invite into your organization and which role you give them
  • You keep account credentials confidential and tell us promptly about suspected misuse
  • You keep the contact details of your organization accurate
  • You remove access for team members who no longer work for you and review their permissions regularly

4. Your responsibilities as organizer

  • The accuracy of your event information, prices, capacity and conditions
  • Compliance with the rules that apply to your event, venue and audience
  • Your relationship with your ticket buyers, including refunds and cancellations
  • The lawful processing of the personal data you collect through your shop
  • Publishing accurate contact details, a privacy notice and applicable sales terms for buyers, and handling their questions and complaints
  • Choosing necessary checkout fields and handling exported buyer and check-in data securely

5. Payments and fees

Ticket payments are settled through the payment provider account connected by the organizer. TixBeam does not hold ticket revenue and is not responsible for the terms of your provider.

TixBeam charges a platform fee of €0.25 per sold ticket. Tickets with a price of zero are free of charge. Refunded tickets are not counted as sold.

The organizer determines ticket prices, applicable taxes and refunds. Payment-provider transaction fees, payout times and verification requirements are separate from TixBeam's platform fee. The organizer supplies buyers with any sales documents required by law.

6. Availability

We work to keep TixBeam available and fast, in particular around on-sales and door times. We cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability, and maintenance is planned outside peak moments where reasonably possible.

If an incident occurs, we work to restore service and communicate significant effects through available contact channels. The organizer maintains a suitable fallback process for admission and attendee communications.

7. Intellectual property

TixBeam retains all rights to its software. You retain all rights to your brand, your content and your event data. Using TixBeam does not transfer ownership in either direction.

For the duration of the service, you permit TixBeam to use your submitted branding, images and content solely to display and operate your shop and event. You ensure that you hold the necessary rights to them.

8. Liability

TixBeam is liable only for direct damage attributable to it, limited to the fees you paid in the twelve months before the event that caused the damage. Liability for indirect damage, such as lost revenue or reputational harm, is excluded to the extent the law allows.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

9. Ending the agreement

You can stop using TixBeam at any time. Events already on sale, open reservations and obligations to buyers remain your responsibility. Plan termination so that buyers can still receive their tickets and relevant information.

Request an export of available event and order data before closing your account. What must be retained or deleted afterwards depends on the data-processing arrangements, legal duties and applicable retention periods; these terms do not promise unlimited access after termination.

10. Changes

We may update these terms, for example when the platform changes. Material changes are announced before they take effect.

For a material change, we state the effective date and give you a reasonable opportunity to assess its effects. Changes do not apply retroactively unless required by law.

11. Applicable law

These terms are governed by Dutch law. Disputes are submitted to the competent court in the Netherlands, unless mandatory law provides otherwise.
