Joining from the event page
As soon as a ticket type sells out, the waitlist appears instead of a dead button. Name, email, quantity — done.
Waitlist
Every refund and every expired reservation is a seat somebody else wants. The waitlist offers that seat automatically, in the order people signed up.
What happens
The waitlist is not a mailing list you work through by hand later. It is a queue that handles itself.
As soon as a ticket type sells out, the waitlist appears instead of a dead button. Name, email, quantity — done.
A refund, an expired reservation or a ticket type you enlarge yourself: the first in line gets an offer for exactly that many seats.
While the offer stands, the seat belongs to that person. If they do not pay within the window, the offer expires and moves to the next in line.
Offers are counted against capacity, not against an estimate. Ten free seats never become eleven offers.
Every sign-up carries its own manage link. Anyone who can no longer come removes themselves and the queue moves up.
Waitlist emails go through the same outbound queue as your tickets, so you can tell whether an offer arrived.
Waitlist
In practice
01
Per ticket type you decide whether there is a waitlist. Yes for your early round, no for your guest list.
02
From the last ticket onwards the page collects sign-ups instead of turning visitors away.
03
Someone asks for a refund, a reservation expires, or you add tickets. The offer goes out on its own.
04
The recipient pays within the window, or the offer expires and the next person gets their turn. You do nothing.
Example
What happens in the week before the night without anyone watching it.
Those 12 tickets are revenue you would not have seen, and 26 people you can reach for your next edition.
