Separate revenue from what remains
Multiply price by tickets sold for gross ticket revenue. Then subtract platform fees, VAT on those fees and payment-provider charges. The remainder is not profit: venue, performers, production, staff and any VAT on your ticket sales remain outside this calculation. The calculator illustrates the ticketing settlement, not a tax return or full event budget.
Decide which costs your advertised ticket price already includes.
Include VAT on platform fees
TixBeam’s platform fee is €0.25 excluding 21% VAT per sold ticket. For one hundred tickets that means €25.00 in platform fees plus €5.25 VAT on those fees. The calculator keeps both visible and subtracts both. Any recovery depends on your circumstances. The VAT treatment of admission itself is a separate matter and is not calculated here.
Compare supplier quotes consistently with and without VAT.
Basket size changes payment costs
A fixed charge per successful payment differs from a per-ticket fee. If visitors buy two tickets per order, one hundred tickets represent about fifty payments. A percentage charge applies to the payment amount. Enter your actual provider terms: the initial €0.32 and 0% are illustrative inputs, not a current Mollie quotation. Model different payment methods separately when appropriate.
Use actual order counts and your own provider agreement for the final budget.
Reconcile real transactions afterwards
An estimate helps set prices but does not replace orders and invoices. Reconcile successful payments, refunds and any separate provider charges. An expired reservation is not a sale and a check-in is not another payment. Decide how fees are communicated and who bears them. Test the complete visitor total before announcing sales. A negative estimate means the selected ticketing costs exceed ticket revenue.
Budget refund charges and other event expenses separately.
